1. What areas do you serve?

Heart & Hands Everyday Support Services proudly serves clients throughout Essex County, New Jersey. If you're unsure whether you're within our service area, please contact us—we're happy to help. 


2. Do you provide transportation?

Yes. We provide non-medical transportation for errands, grocery shopping, appointments, and other everyday activities. Clients must be able to enter and exit the vehicle with little or no assistance. We do not provide wheelchair-accessible transportation, stretcher transportation, medical transport, or transportation for clients who require hands-on transfer assistance. 

3. What does light organizing include?

Light organizing may include sorting everyday items, tidying small areas, organizing paperwork, or helping create a more manageable space. It does not include heavy cleaning, moving large furniture, or major home organization projects.

4. How does grocery shopping work?
We can shop with you or shop on your behalf. Clients are responsible for the cost of groceries and other purchases. Payment details will be discussed before the service begins.

5. Is there a minimum booking time?
Yes. Most services require a two-hour minimum. This helps us provide meaningful, unrushed support and complete tasks properly.

6. Can the Weekly Reset package be customized?
Yes. The Weekly Reset package can be adjusted based on your needs. Services may include errands, light organizing, grocery support, appointment assistance, or other approved everyday tasks.

7. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept secure electronic payments. Payment details and due dates will be confirmed before services begin.

8. Are there travel fees?
Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area or for longer-distance trips. Any additional fee will be explained and approved before booking.

9. How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests based on availability.

10. Who will be providing my services?
Heart & Hands Everyday Support Services is owner-operated, so you'll receive personalized, reliable support from someone who is committed to treating every client with professionalism, respect, and care.

11. How do I get started?
Getting started is easy! Contact us by phone, email, or through our website to discuss your needs. We'll answer your questions, explain our services, and help you schedule your first visit.

12. What are the client requirements for service?

Clients must be able to move safely within their home and enter and exit a vehicle with little or no physical assistance. We may offer light everyday assistance, such as a steadying arm or help carrying bags. We do not provide lifting, hands-on transfers, bathing, toileting, feeding, medication administration, wound care, or other medical or personal-care services.  


13. Do you provide wheelchair-accessible or medical transportation?

No. We provide non-medical transportation in a standard passenger vehicle. We do not transport wheelchairs, mobility scooters, stretchers, or clients who require wheelchair-accessible vehicles, physical lifting, or hands-on transfer assistance. 


14. Who pays for groceries, prescriptions, and other purchases?

Clients are responsible for the cost of all groceries, prescriptions, household items, and other purchases. Payment arrangements must be confirmed before shopping or errands begin. 


15. Can a service request be declined?

Yes. Heart & Hands Everyday Support Services reserves the right to decline, modify, or discontinue a service request if it falls outside our scope of services, if the environment is unsafe, or if the request cannot be completed safely or appropriately. If this happens, we'll communicate the reason clearly and, when possible, suggest an appropriate alternative.
